Why. Won’t. You. Leave. Me. Alone?

I don’t really know how to summerize this movie, or even give a generalization without giving anything away. It’s based off of a novel I will now promptly read (when I’m done with all this school work) and it was incredible. Please go see it. It’s my favorite movie of anything reviewed so far. I would recommend it for anyone who enjoyed Little Miss Sunshine, The Pianist, or Amelie.

I didn’t really enjoy this film as much as I thought I would. It’s against a lot of what I believe in, but I did appreciate Ricci’s acting, and her acurate depiction of young girls in depression. A lot of the issues and themes in the story were correct, and it was put together all right- there were a lot of realism- but I imagine I might like the book better. However, I would recommend this movie to those who liked the style of The Virgin Suicides or Donnie Darko.
