It’s someone’s birthday today! Though they probably don’t want me to say anything, even though everyone who would ever say anything to him about it already knows- but I just wanted to say Happy Birthday! You know who you are!

I’ve disappeared for a few days, simply because I’ve been very sick, but I wanted to take the time to mention some important things. I hope everyone who was able to vote yesterday did so and had enough time to review the ballot. I stayed up on the evening of the sixth and reviewed the ballot with Tyler until I felt comfortable enough to know what I was voting for and then went to bed. And now, the day after, the results are coming in.
I’m somewhat pleased with Michigan’s results, though a little frustrated with some of the proposals- but I am almost excited that the Democrats have taken control of the House and now I just have to wait and see for the Senate. I’m just worried that everyone will vote Democrat because it’s anything but Bush, anything but what we have right now, but the truth is, if a Democrat is elected, the war isn’t going to change. We aren’t just suddenly going to pull out and I worry that the nation will be brutally shocked when they find out that we’re not going anywhere. I want this country to change, but I’m afraid that everyone else might be caught up in this mainstream of anti-Bush-isms and not even pay attention to what’s going to happen, and then be equally pissed when nothing changes.
Edited: And now I would like to mention that she says it best.
