So to fight off the edges of boredom during my week of sickness, I also managed to make myself a very nifty pair of leg warmers, and who knows, I like them so much I might make some more! And all I can think of as I look at this picture and think of leg warmers is, ”The Chipmunk Adventure” and dressing up when I was little in these ridiculous pink leg warmers and singing/screaming my lungs out on the rooftop. Hey, who needs television, anyway? Stretch your brain. Make movies and leg warmers.
One of the most humbling experiences in any friendship was bestowed upon me yesterday evening. When you’re clutching porcelain and retching into the toilet with listeners in the other room, there isn’t much you can do to save your dignity at that point, and I threw up not once, not twice, but three times last night. And the rascals cuddled up on the couch with me and watched two movies back to back, staying with me through most of the night. When Jei came home, he came bearing my favorite sick food as gifts- orange juice and orange popsicles, and snuggled on the couch with us. I know the details of my sickness are probably preferred unshared, but I will say that I have successfully crossed the threshold of lines in my friendship with Ash, Rue, and Tyler. I want to thank them for hanging out with me almost every night and keeping me sane. And let’s not forget, we caught a glimpse of the amazing thunder/lightening/snow-not-rain storm last night.
Sara is a girl who spends her days feeling. She likes acting, photos, instruments, writing, music, and books. I know this because she is me. And on most days I'm her too.
