I finished my ninth written journal on Friday and have begun the tenth, which remains unnamed. I feel very excited, relieved, and ready to have finished this one. I’m sure everyone who writes in a journal knows the feeling when it finally reaches the end. It’s closing a chapter of your life and making room for a new one. It’s a great opportunity to let old, nasty, feelings die and finally rest. This held a lot of excitement, joy, and suffering for me and I’m extremely happy to finally put it to rest. Thank you, Nathaniel.

I took some photos today, messing around with my settings, that hopefully I can post tomorrow. I also took my little sister’s “school” yearbook photos, since they are homeschooled and don’t have the opportunity of having their own taken. We had fun. Oh, and I played guitar. Other than that I’ve been very lazy and relaxed. It felt good. I hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend.

For those of you that do write in journals, I’m curious: Do you name them? Do you finish them? What do you do when you’re done with them? Save them? Destroy them? Forget them? How many do you have, currently? Are any of them blank? What do you fill them with? Words? Poetry? Photos? Everything?
