It’s startling seeing my face in a paper I’ll never read because I’m one hundred miles away. Amazing, the power of the internet.

Tyler always makes really good stirfry with tofu (vegitarian) and last night we tried doing teriyaki flavoring on to our usual recipe. It was all sorts of yum. (On top of white rice, of course.)

I AM SO EXCITED MY SOMOA GIRLSCOUT COOKIES ARE HERE. 10 BOXES. SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO ME.
UGH.

Well, this weekend was eventful. We went to see the taiko drummers on Friday, and yesterday Tyler and I went for a bike ride and I showed him the glory of Taco House (he’d never been there) and then we waited for Rue to come home so all four of us could sit down and watch Twice Upon A Time. That’s right, I own it on DVD. Someone was kind enough to capture the UNCUT version from their VHS version and upload it for a few select people to download. And being the freak about Twice Upon a Time that I am, I was one of them. So I own it now. On DVD. Hell yes. I also worked finished up my site layout for May, and I’m really pleased with it. I also added a few changes, such as the Gravatar addition. So if you don’t have an account, hop on, it’s free and it adds an avatar next to your comment. =}
It’s been so warm outside I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about it. We have all the windows and doors open in the house to let the fresh air in. Though I am bummed that we quite possibly have missed the thunderstorm season and may leap right into summer.
Today I challenge anyone with a camera and the capability to take pictures of your favorite things, or things that you may use every day and pass over- possibly even take advantage of. Show me a snippet of your life, if you would, and maybe with the pieces we can have something.

The show was very good, and I would urge anyone who gets a chance to see the drummers to go and do it. A lot of their songs were more contemporary, and I think only two were the traditional Japanese style, which disappointed me- but there’s no way I can get the Okinawan style without going back so I won’t complain. I remember them being on the street for the Dragon Boat Races and the candy and sweets and feeling my bones vibrate because it was so loud. I remember watching them spin and dance and sing and clap. It was good.
