Sleeping Pumpkin.

Blurry, but I like it anyway.

Future cat macros?

I’ve taken to drawing faces of despair and terror on my milk.
“Please don’t drink/kill me?”

I have no idea why.

But, as a side note, my Halloween costume is complete. HAHA.

The cats are getting along great. Morn’s still a little grumpy, though it’s only been three days, and I can’t help but get a little stressed about it. On the first day he’d let me pet him but then get up and move away from me and lay down somewhere else. But yesterday he laid in the bedroom with Pumpkin, Jei and I. And he seems to follow Pumpkin all over. They eat together and this morning he seemed back to normal. Exposing his belly to me and begging me to scratch/pet him. I’m not as stressed about it now.

Does everyone know what they will be for Halloween?

True story.

So we’re sitting here in our living room, watching a film, laughing at the kittens running around chasing each other when someone walks in through our front door carrying a bag of groceries. We look at him, and he looks at us, and then he says- “Oh, oh, God. I’m really sorry.” turns around and leaves, shutting the door behind him. We had no idea who this man was.

I don’t know how you could mistake our house for any of the others around us. We’re the only house with a “Maximum Occupancy” sign, an autumn pumpkin wreath, and about eight pumpkins in our lawn.

Weird.

Hilarious, but still very weird.

Yesterday I adopted a kitten that I was going to rescue about a month ago from drowning. And by that I mean the people who had it were going to drown it, but then I reasoned that I just couldn’t do it. (This reasoning happened last month.) I couldn’t afford the $250 to get him fixed, shots, etc, and if he had something he could give it to Morn. It was just irresponsible when I had a cat already to take care of. So I told the girl to just take the kittens to Petsmart if she was really afraid of her father drowning the poor things. So I guess she did, because I walked in there and there he was. My face did that pucker, squint, try-not-to-go-aww- that it sometimes does and I looked at the sheet on his cage. All his brothers had been adopted and he was alone. He had been neutered and all his shots were up to date.

Kind of sort of perfect, right?
Well, meet Pumpkin Cider. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to name him Pumpkin, or Cider, so…

Morn spent most of his kittenhood with other animals, whether it was other cats, dogs, or squirrels. Since I’ve moved into this new house there have been no other animals around and he’s been incredibly lonely. However, with the new roommates came Frost- another cat.

Morn has been trying desperately to get his attention while the poor thing is still trying to get used to his new surroundings. It’s so ridiculously cute.

I apologize if this was far too personal to post on the internet.

Me: Do you remember what you dreamt about last night?
Him: Hmm. Nope.
Me: Do pirates ring a bell?
Him: Haha, no. Why?
Me: Well, because last night you grabbed me and declared, “Ah! Buried treasure!”
Him: There’s nothing buried in there!
Me: …
Him: But there could be.
Me: I’m too enamored by your pickup line to come up with an appropriate response.
Him: Arr!

(Today we carve pumpkins.)
