Well, I decided that I would rather starve than go another minute without a tree. I’ve been so excited to get one this year as it will be my very first Christmas tree. And by that I mean it’s mine and in my own apartment and I can put presents under it. I decorated it and picked everything out myself and call it “The Twilight Tree” in case you haven’t watched the video yet. Meijer had the faux trees on sale for 30% off and the ornaments and lights for 25% and it ended today, so it was an absolute must. I’m so happy with it. I find myself staring at it in awe, it’s so elegant. I can’t believe it’s mine. And here I was at the store worried I wouldn’t buy enough ornaments, or the wouldn’t match and look good, and what a retard I was. Sorry, but the tree looks awesome. I’m excited.

Well, damn. Nicole and I went to the Dollar Tree today to see if they had any cheap decorations, and boy we got lucky! I took home a mini tree and treat dish for the coffee table, really cute window decals, a snowman mug and adorable door decorations- of which I snagged a gingerbread man and a penguin.

I got three sheets, containing four decals each, but these two are my favorite.

The gingerbread man that hangs on my door. (I removed the scarf and buttons from the penguin because I put it on my bathroom door so it would match the penguin theme.)

A cute snowman mug!

I still can’t believe we snagged all these for mere dollars! Thank you, Dollar Tree!

Something I didn’t snag from the Dollar Tree but needed to share anyway would be my new chapstick.

Oh, yes. It actually tastes like it.
