Jei and I have been together for three years now.

Jei made me my favorite breakfast. He made the pancakes and then put fresh strawberries and strawberry preserves on them with whipped cream and syrup. They were SOO good.
Then we watched Supernatural and both The Pretender movies. We’ve been watching The Pretender for the last three years. It was really fitting that we watched the finales today. And then we played video games, because we’re both nerds. All and all it was a very relaxing, wonderful day.

I love you, my dearest Jelly Bean.

So this morning this thought popped into my head. Jei just sold his PSP so that he could turn around and use the money that he’d made off his PSP, plus a little extra, get a newer shinier model. Sure he lost some cash in the process but it’s SHINY.

Honestly, I was just toying with the idea so I put up “Does anyone want to buy my camera?” as my away message. When I came home today I was surprised to see that quite a few people were interested. I guess I just wasn’t sure I’d be able to sell it without a huge hassle (read: signing up for ebay or amazon etc etc). New the S3 IS is selling for about $300-320. I honestly have no idea why. The S5 IS is $375. If you’re going to spend $300, you might as well spend the extra $75 to get the newer model. So, if you were looking to buy the S3 IS new, don’t. =D

Anyway, the lowest price for an S3 IS used and in good condition is $250, which is what I’m offering. Obviously I think everyone knows I’ve treated that camera like a baby, and it’s in great working condition. And I want to be honest with you, I’m doing this so I can shell out an extra hundred and get the newer model. If you are looking for a great camera, and want to shell out the extra money, you should get the newer model too. But if you want a good digital camera that is sturdy, does video as well (all my YouTube videos), I’m your man. Woman. Whatever.

There is a small difference between the S3 IS and the S5 IS, I’ll be honest. It’s the megapixels. Why do I feel I need a better megapixel camera when I have a Digital Rebel? I don’t know. I honestly have no idea. This must be what it’s like to be a camera nerd. I must be on the verge of camera nerd-dom obsession. Or maybe I was already on the edge and this is my first step towards the no-going-back-zone.

Whatever, if anyone’s interested, let me know. I’m still not so sure I am going to do this, but if anyone is really excited about the idea and would like to, I’ll do it. But… she’s my baby, my first digital camera so you better treat her well. =)

I lightened my hair to orange. I plan on going back to red, but for a few months I’d like to be orange. I was going to go blonde, but I realize that it’s virtually impossible to do so without stripping and frying my hair. Sorry, Tom. I apologize to all you bloggers out there, I haven’t been checking my friendslist or my blog links the last few days. But I am catching up now. Today my mom, sister and I hung out all day. It was awesome. We went to see Juno and it was incredible. Incredible. She better freaking win an Oscar for that, I don’t care how young she is. She was incredible.

A message to my dearest aunt Jill from my mother (and me): You need to see it!!

EDIT: Okay, what the fuck. Seriously. Ellen Page did not win best actress for Juno, and as much as I love Daniel Day-Lewis, Johnny Depp is probably one of the greatest actors of our time (we’re ignoring Secret Window) and he’s never won an Oscar. I really could kill someone.

Okay, I swear. I didn’t realize it’d been so long. I’ve been thinking I should post but I hadn’t really had anything in particular to say. I’m not sure that I do now, either. Sorry about that.

Things I need to get done:

  • Tidy my room
  • Laundry
  • Watch Land Before Time (The first and the ONLY one, as far as I’m concerned. I’d been thinking about it non-stop lately and I used to watch it over and over when I was a child. Finally I caved.)
  • Take a picture related to music or musical instruments in black and white.
  • Get your inspiration back.
  • March layout. (Any ideas?)
  • Drop off the rent check.

I’m hopefully spending time with my family tomorrow. On the 28th Jei and I celebrate having spent the last three years with each other.

"Polaroid has announced that they will no longer manufacture instant film or instant cameras and will instead concentrate on TVs, digital cameras, and printers, says the Chicago Sun-Times."
