So my destiny found me, ladies and gentlemen, but first let me start by addressing some more obvious, and just as fun, news. Most of my layouts have been what some have described as, “meaningful”, asking me, “Please, help me create a meaningful template like yours.” The site’s tag lines have been serious, the images have been vaguely nostalgic, and the overall feeling has been a formless, dreamy statement.  So, I hope you are as happy with the new layout as I am, it’s a little bit before December, but I liked it too much to wait- and you better have seen the movie I’m mimicking! For those of you that don’t know, you can drag your sorry butts here for some more information. And now, on to my destiny…

When Rue, Tyler and I were at Meijer looking at some yarn for the Yule scarf making, we stumbled across this beauty and joy, in the clearance section.  Now, this baby is huge, and refillable. I can use it for a photo album, a scrap book, or even a binder- as it’s three hole punched and ready to go.  But I love it so much I’m stumped as to what I should use it for first.  Any suggestions? I want lots of them, no matter how ridiculous! (Please) Here’s a shot to help put its size into perspective.

Use it as a portable shrine for the gods, using this image for the cover.

A visual log.
Now, I don’t mean just photos. But snipets of your life. A newspaper clipping, a penny by the side of the road, the cap of a smashed acorn on your walk home, etc. Then date and label them all, with something like:

Date:
Location:
Time:
Title:

I was feeling:

Example-

Date: o1.o5.2oo7
Location: River St.
Time: High Noon:o1
Title: Thumb boat

I was feeling: A little bummed because everyone I hoped was going to hang out with kind of ditched me, but then I found this acorn shell…and wondered what it would be like to sail in it. I could go anywhere, and no one would see me. How neat would that be? Just float away…

One step closer to the happy go lucky day I was going for.

Entry 2
Date: o7.3o.2oo7
Location: The beach
Time: 7:55 pm
Title:

I was feeling: Mad, I’m mad. That’s what I am. Through and through. I was walking on the beach and cut my foot on a piece of broken beer bottle. I can’t believe people leave this stuff lying around!

Ugh. Just ugh.

Etc. It’s a great way to track emotions, and an even better way to drag them back up if you need for any specific occasion. I mean, for rping, or photographing. Pull it out and say, “I was pretty mellow here, at this time…let’s see what’s there now.”

Either way.
Enjoy.
