Today I would like to show you where I spent six years of my life. This is the town in which I discovered my love for the arts, and this is the town in which I went to high school.

These old fashioned clocks line the streets of downtown.

This is an area of downtown.

Walking through in the summer time feels like you’re on a movie set. The buildings are well kept, small, cozy, and everywhere there are flowers, mini-gardens, and amazing trees. It’s really small, beautiful, and surreal. (Aside from the occasional lowlife who drives by eight times blasting rap music because he has nothing better to do than to drive through downtown all day.)

Though I must say that there is a good friend who also occasionally drives through town blasting his music, but I know it’s him because nobody else would drive through blasting that beautiful bagpipe music other than maybe me. =)

This tree is amazing. It’s actually two trees that were bound together as saplings and now half the tree has pink lilac blossoms and the other half has white. Even the bark is different when you get up close.

The entagled blossoms.

We live ontop of the lake. Even where I live now I’m ridiculously close to water, which is how I like it and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

This tree is ridiculously fun to climb. That river is also fun to swim in.

Behind this street leads to the harbor, which I will show you next time when I show you the actual streets and shops of downtown.

These salmon have reached the end of their journey, have mated, and are laying down to die.

Alas, I am not yet a good enough photography to have caught the salmon that lept out of the water just before this picture was taken.

I would have a really hard time living somewhere that wasn’t near water. I’ve been near it all my life. Over half of my life was the good ocean salt water and the other half fresh. I know I am spoiled.

Thanks for joining me on this picture tour. Next time I will show the harbor and the beauty of downtown.
If you feel up to it, show me where you lived, live, or like to visit?

Beautiful photographs as always! I cannot believe you can see the salmon so clearly!
