Oh, I’m such a sucker for Halloween. I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did. Lots of friends came to the house warming/Halloween party and we had punch, candy, and pizza and costumes and movies and it was so incredible. Lots of cute costumes too. Nicole and I were running around getting decorations and last minute surprises and bought matching winter coats and I think we look adorable.

Jei went to Art Van and bought a bed while I was sleeping. This is totally okay because we really don’t agree on hardly anything furniture wise, mostly because I like lots of things and Jei’s very particular. I’ve never been one for fancy furniture or decorations. Probably the bathroom is the most decorating I’ve done because I like to have bare essentials and not much else. So really I’m content in letting Jei pick whatever and I’ll be content as long as he’s happy with it. I can’t wait to see it. It’s being delivered on the 31st.

Jei and I don’t really get our picture taken together very often (unless we’re making faces or sleeping or something) so I rarely get to see the infamous “face” I’m making whenever Jei’s around. I’ve always known that I’ve made it. People have told me, but I can also feel it, too. I know I’m making a face I don’t normally make and my cheeks hurt and and I try to stop but I can’t help it, it just happens when I’m with him. Until I saw these pictures, I just thought it was a weird face. Now I know it’s not weird at all, it’s ridiculous happiness. I’m completely serious, too. I was so shocked to see these pictures. I look so happy. Well guess what? I am.

I am happy.

I’ve let go of a lot of heavy baggage I was carrying around with me this year because I know I’ll never need it again and it’s only weighing me down. A few big issues in my life have finally laid to rest. I just don’t care about some of them any more. I don’t want them to influence me or make me angry or frustrated because it’s not worth my time. Anyway, I’m rambling. But I feel great. I hope you are having a wonderful holiday.

Let me see your costumes?! Lots more pictures of mine here!!

Sara you look so fabulous!!!

And yes, extreeeeeeemely happy. Its so lovely to see.

I am not going to look NEARLY as pretty in my halloween pictures, in fact I have decided to dress up as disgusting/hilarious as I can because I feel like I’ve gotten to this point in my life where I am over trying to impress people, so I want to be gross. Don’t even ask me to try and explain my logic, I don’t know - ha.

Emma, you know- you make PERFECT sense. I’ve tried describing my recent taste in clothes to people, and that’s pretty much it. I see a shirt and I’m like- that is so disgusting. That is so ugly. I want to get it and where it because it’s ugly.

Love you lots! =D

Abby, I was!!! Good call! I can’t wait to see you!

Elizabeth, thank you so much- and they totally are. I rarely ever smile where I’m bearing all my teeth, I’m not sure why- but it’s insane to see yourself so happy in a photograph.

=)

Even though I try to keep up with your entries, I rarely comment, I know. But this time I couldn’t not.

That second picture of the two of you is really something.

Goooodness. Before I read the part about the face I noticed. Couldn’t not notice! And I’m thrilled for you two. :D A tall, dark V…you lucky girl, lol. And Jem is rather sexy as well. It sounds like you had amazing time!

Thanks everyone!

Bronnie- At first I couldn’t tell if I was grinning so badly because he was dressed up as V, as I love him so much, or if I was just grinning to grin. I think it’s a mix of both. Thanks so much, I can’t wait to see your pictures and your costume! (You are dressing up, right?)

Tracy, thank you! =}

Michelle- Seriously, I thought I was happy until I just realized I wasn’t actually. A few things were holding me back and shouldn’t have been so I just let go. I wanted to be happy and so I am. =)

Laura, I added you back and I can’t wait to see your costume!! =D

They’re all very good reasons. ;D I did take some shots of Islay with you in mind (though they’re rather juvenile, lol, but no shots of a costume as I sort of skipped Halloween this year. Christmas is more my thing. ^^ I didn’t have a specific costume in mind and unfortunately I have a hard time half-assing those things, lol. I wanted to be Robin Hood but alas, no green outfits! Next year…:)

hello. i found this nice little site of yours through an lj community, some how. these pictures are lovely, i wanted to ask what camera you used, or is there an effect added afterwards? because the colour and lighting is just beautiful! have a nice day x

Ally, first of all- thank you! I took these pictures with a Canon Digital Rebel XTi since it’s my newest camera, but the same effect can be achieved using a Canon Powershot S3 IS (or similar models) as that’s what I’ve been using for the past year. Both cameras give you the option to mess around with the color settings and make adjustments. And as far as post processing goes, if it isn’t vivid enough for you just using the camera you can adjust your color levels in Photoshop or PhotoImpact. =D

Hope that helps!
