A package from Yelp! came in the mail again. Last year it was an awesome tee-shirt with buttons, business cards, and stickers. This year it was an awesome hoodie!! For free! I adore this “Elite” design much better than last year. Plus it’s nice and warm and very comfortable. I hope that one day soon they expand into Canada because I’d be all over Toronto.
In other news, the viewing for my friend is on Sunday and the funeral on Monday. It was a motorcylce accident. He was pulling out of a parking lot and was hit by a truck. If I were to put it into stages I’d say I’m just recently getting over the anger stage. Now I don’t know what stage I am. Putting it into stages I guess makes me feel better, though. I like reading my friends though because it helps remind me that the world hasn’t stopped. I just like reading about people’s lives. Like, I imagine I would like reality TV if it were actually real.
I’m rambling so I’m going to let you go.
Cheers, cats.
So we, being my sister and my roommates, come home today from a fun day out shopping and messing about to find a package left on our doorstep by the mailman (or woman). It was wrapped in a nice plastic bag to avoid getting wet from the rain and had no return address on it. It was addressed to my sister and me. We stood there stunned for a minute, we weren’t expecting any package, especially not one as cool as this.
I can’t tell you how fun this project is, and I’m only nine days in. It’s so much fun trying to sit down and try to capture my day in a photograph. It’s the best form of journaling ever. Though I think I might make an adjustment someday. If I want to capture my day, I don’t think it should be necessary that I always be in the photo. But that could just be me freaking out.
Anyway, Jei and I went shopping today for our families and each other. We got stocking stuffers, candy, and little things to put for each other under the tree, but our main focus was our little brothers and sisters. Did I mention that while I have seven and five year old sisters, he has seven and five year old brothers? We’re both the oldest, with a two year younger sibling, mine being Kat and his Mike. I often use this to remind him that we are perfect for each other.
PS: I figured out last night what I wanted to get Jei- but I can’t say anything because he might read this before then.
So this was me last December. Pretty hard to believe, I know. My hair was blondish brown with low lights and really short. I was still pale, it would seem. I was feeling tired (already) about the 365 day project but then I found this picture. A lot can happen in a year, I think it would be intense to see such a change. So I’ll keep at it.
I want to say thank you to everyone who has sent me Christmas cards in the mail and over the computer. It’s the first year I’ve received holiday cards at my own home, so thank you very, very much.
Speaking of which, I made a new layout because I was making a new friend an e-card and I liked it so much that I decided to use it here, too.
I’m still not sure what I should get Jei for Christmas. My mom told me to make a wishlist on Amazon, but anything I want there is too expensive and I’d feel guilty making her shop there when she can get the same thing three times cheaper somewhere else. So I made a thethingsiwant account and pretty much spent the day filling it up with some stuff. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s great! It’s a universal wishlist so you can add things from amazon, borders, mochi, etc. It’s a pretty neat little site and it’s definitely coming in handy for Christmas. So if you have one, add me!
I’ve also been enjoying my new “Merry Little Playlist” on repeat for the last few days. (As you can probably see.) But if there’s any track you see that you might want to snag, let me know and I’ll send it to you. For those of you that are new here, I’d also like to remind you that I share music with you weekly, so don’t forget to check back for new tunes.
This is my favorite Christmas song, along with O Holy Night. If anyone has the John Williams version of O Holy Night (from Home Alone) please share! =)
In the meantime, I’m finishing up my Christmas cards today!
