I enjoyed Mother’s day. We permed my mom’s hair, did our nails, went out to dinner, took her shopping, and then finished the evening by watching a stellar movie. My mom single-handedly raised me and saved me from a life stuck in plastic, expensive toys, and superficial relationships. (I honestly believe that.) Thanks, Mom.

Miss Medusa!!

I think it turned out wonderfully.

This picture is blurry but I really like it.

I think Coley and I have become pretty close, especially lately. She’s been sort of keeping an eye on me in my grumpy/groggy state the last few days and I just really realize that she and I are a lot more alike than I may have previously understood. We have “responsibilites” to other people. Sometimes we just smile and nod and go about our business because it’s what we need to do. I guess I can’t really explain it. She and I are in the same boat, it feels like, on most days. We won’t talk about what’s happened to each other but we both know.
But I think I’ll save the rest of this revelation for another entry.

I can’t tell you how many pictures I have where it looks like Kat is revealing the master plan of the universe specifically to me. Usually I look completely perplexed and intrigued.
(They’re also usually my favorites.)

The man who took our picture was really tall.
(I like how Coley and I are pale. XD)

My mom’s new opal ring.
(She also has a pair of earrings to match.)

So I get onto my computer today to find that everyone was wishing me a Happy St. Patrick’s Day yesterday and I am going, WTF. Saint Patrick’s Day is on the seventeenth people, just like it is every year! But then I discovered “it was changed to the fifteenth this year by the Roman Catholic Church to avoid conflict with Holy Monday, which falls on 3/17.”

Yeah, what the fuck?

But I guess Ireland celebrates March 13th through the 17th, and is still having the huge parade on the 17th, regardless of the Roman Catholic Church?

Either way, my roommates and I are still celebrating on the seventeenth. So Happy St. Paddy’s day, TOMORROW.

So I will be going home for a week long vacation next year for my birthday. I’m starting to save for my spending money. This was the best Christmas ever.

We had our huge feast on Christmas Eve and I’m getting ready to devour mashed potatoes. Because they’re my favorite part. My mom and sisters came over, we cooked all day, ate, and then opened our presents. Then on Christmas day Jei and I went to see his family. Lots of Planet Earth. All in all it’s been a wonderful, wonderful time.

PS: I’m now starting October of my journal transcribing! I’m catching up!

How was your Christmas?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Jei’s present just arrived via UPS and HE’S STILL SLEEPING LIKE AN ANGEL SO I AM GOING TO WRAP IT NOW AND HE’LL NEVER KNOW WHAT HIT HIM. HAHAHEHEHOHOHO!
