Death of a Digital Rebel

Something too awful for words has just happened but I’ll try anyway.

My Digital Rebel is broken. For no reason. It hasn’t been dropped, exposed to long hours in the sunlight, rained on, anything.

I just turned it on to try and take a picture and the lens is making a grinding whirring sound when it tries to auto focus. I mean, it still takes pictures, but it’s really hard to get the lens to move at all so I’m just not going to try until I can talk to someone at Canon.

I am seriously verge tears.

I’m pretty sure it only had the year long factory warrenty, but I mean, it’s been nine months or something silly. Definitely under a year. And I haven’t dropped it or anything so it should be fine.

Don’t worry, I’m sure Canon will fix it or replace it. I was sooo distraught when I realized my Pro1’s lens was incapable of taking photos without grain but that was after three years so they wouldn’t help me. I switched to Nikon. :x
