So apparently this restaurant downtown that’s extremely overpriced offers 焼きそば (Yakisoba) on their menu. I’m kind of having a hard time breathing about it. The problem is, my mom makes it really well already and I’m not sure if the restaurant will make it properly or American style. I think I’ll just have to make it myself, to be honest. It will be cheaper and probably better in the long run. I just wish I had the ingrediants to make ソーキそば (Okinawan sōki soba) but there’s no way I can get my hands on the Awamori without paying out the nose.

I’m trying to read 52 books this year. (That’s a book a week.) But I just started this morning though and so I want to have five books read by February 5th. I’ve read Coraline, Getthing the Girl, and now I’m on The Alchemist. I really, really loved Coraline. Any good book recommendations? I’ve already read the Jonathan Safran Foer and Chuck Palahniuk books, and those that I haven’t read are already on my list. I’m only saying that because they seem to be a popular LJ recommandations. Sorry if this post was boring, I’m just sort of filling you all in.
I will try to do my vlog today. I already did it once, but part of it is ruined so I have to redo it. And I’m lazy. But I will try. After my bath.
Also, I wanted to say a quick thank you to those of you that write. Honestly, reading your words really helps pull my day together. My entire friends list and those with your own domains- Thank you. I check my list twice a day for updates.
That is all.
Cheers, cats.

I loved Coraline! I felt so special getting a copy before it was sent out to stores. ;D It’s not something I’d read to my kids though, lol. The Alchemist was great too, I’d read it in between lectures as that’s all the time I had. I’d love to try Water for Elephants as it’s sitting on my nightstand. Just gotta make the time. ;)
I need a new vlog topic, hahaha, mine was a failure as you likely saw!
