Two boys were playing outside in the parking lot and I found myself watching them laugh and pass the ball back and forth when one of them looked up and said to the other- “Look, there’s a weird lady in the window with a cat.”
Since when did I become a “lady” instead of “girl”?

Yeah, that cat is a little bit funny. And I couldn’t even smile or wave. I just kind of sat there, like I was behind an invisible wall.
I think about us doing cartwheels every morning.

Hehe. I can’t believe that hasn’t happened to me. Being spotted watching people with Alice by my side that is. Windows do feel like walls, as if we’re protected from what’s out there.
