Well, my dad put $1205.30 towards my car loan today.
I am old enough to be grateful for the $1205.30 that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
I am childish enough to be upset that I took his help and said, “Thank you.”

I don’t think that’s childish. I think that’s more the opposite, swallowing your pride and stepping back to assess if you need the assistance, even if from someone you’d rather not get help from. Don’t be hard on yourself. ;)
