My sister asked my mother, “Mom, can I sleep with you tonight?”
And she replied, “Are you sure, won’t your sister be lonely in her room?”
To which she replied, “But mom, I was thinking I should do it now while I still have the chance, because when I get older I won’t be able to.”
She is five years old.
Did I ever have that moment? That scared fleeting moment where I said, I have to do this before I miss my chance to do it forever?
