Last night I went for a walk and two boys rode by on their bikes. They couldn’t have been more than twelve or thirteen years old and they were both smoking cigarettes and calling each other “mother fuckers”. I suddenly imagined, as I sometimes do, that this was a strange scene out of a low budget indie film reminiscent of Gummo. Then I thought how sad it was that these kids are wasting their lives on cigarettes and trash talking to compensate for what they probably feel at their current ages are small penises.

the other day i watched cunnamulla, which is similar to gummo except its a documentary on this little town 300 miles out of brisbane where all there is to do is:
“drink, take drugs, fight and chase girls”
there are these two 13 yr old girls who spend all their time “getting fucked”
by the guys who their parents call “black motherfuckers”
it was so sad and horrible to watch,
those poor people, thats all they know

~bahhh! I know!! It’s probably not the same thing, but I read so many blogs that have girls cutting/drugging/drinking/starving…and it makes me so sad. I’ve been there done that, and I wish they would just enjoy who they are. Re-reading this it’s a far stretch from the cursing boys on bikes, lol, somehow i linked it to that though.

~i like your kawaii theme<3

Haha, oh how this makes me laugh. But yes. That is what the youth does these days! It’s quite sad. And scares the hell out of me for my younger sister and brother!

Emily, that is very sad. I don’t know if I could handle watching something like that.

JenaVi, I read that too, and I find it also very sad. Girl who write about weighing under 100 lbs and it’s just awful. It’s the same thing. It’s like our youth is decaying.

Ainsley, I’m sorry, but it is really, really good!

And Kenzie, I feel you in the younger sibling department. I’m terrified for my little sisters.
