I think they are equally powerful in their own right. The images don’t give me “that certain feeling” as they do when they’re with the words; sometimes they’re complete opposites.

But I do agree with you on that. I found her through Flickr and soon I discovered the secret pictures that don’t make it there.

You can’t tell me that her work doesn’t pack more of a sting when you can read the words going along with it. Her images are really powerful but to me they are more intense when she adds words. If she ever published a book, I’d want the whole thing, images and the words. It’s just not the same to me without them.

I guess in that sense, I am lucky to read her blog because she rarely posts the words on Flickr.

I disagree. When I looked at the image, obviously it was very sensual and inviting but I was heartbroken already.

She’s turned away, she’s surrounded by darkness, you can’t see her face, and her body language screams lonely.

Sara I’ve been struggling with commenting on this one simply because I know that you put this up and then probably wanted to forget about it and ignore it. In all actuality I’m surprised you didn’t turn the comments off.

But I wanted to tell you that the image coupled with the words is breathtaking. You tend to have this way of making your pictures match the accompanying words, which are usually your own, and that just moves me.

The picture itself wouldn’t be as heartbreaking without those words: what would have been a very sexual and inviting image has become one full of loneliness, longing and loss.

What I would like is a book of all my favorite Saraisms. The one about the heart beating, the one about not being the one, the one from last June that I can’t get out of my head that’s just your silhouette. You are a very artistic, amazing young woman. I am proud to know you.

And I am also glad to see you don’t sport a tramp stamp.

PS: What is it with you and polka dot?

I would kill for your body.

Also, I’m so glad you don’t have a tramp stamp. To me, the lower back is the most precious part of the female body and it shouldn’t be ruined with trashy tattoos.
