You were yet another one of the amazing employees of my high school. You were one of the lunch room ladies, and you knew me by name and face. As it was common for the high school to run out of food by the middle of second lunch, sometimes you would set aside some nachos/nuggets and fresh fries because I would get caught up in the library or the computer lab and missed the tone for lunch. Thank you. (And I’m sorry I shared our little secret, but I think it’s okay now.)

She’d save four warm, fresh chocolate chip cookies for me in the morning (’cause everyone was ALL over them before first hour), because I told her my mom wouldn’t let me have them at home.
