So I’ve been sporatically taking prenatal vitamins since July not because I plan on becoming pregnant, or happen to already be pregnant, but because it’s a great source of iron (something I severely lack) and I hear that it makes your hair grow faster. And I’m that lame. Anyway, starting today I’m trying to remember to take them every single day.

Today we made gingerbread houses with the girls. I’d never made a gingerbread house before, and neither had my mother, so she got a whole bunch of stuff for it and asked if I would like to join in the beginning of a new family tradition. So above is Baby Gingerbread, my first gingerbread house. And of course my mom kicked my ass. Hers is below.

Also, Cole, Riley, and I started the 365 Days project. I’ve been thinking about it for a while, but just never really felt okay with it. You take a picture of yourself every day for an entire year. No, you don’t have to be in the same boring pose if you don’t want to be. And you can do random parts of your body, too. I just don’t know if I want to flood the internet with 365 pictures of myself. But I started the album anyway, though I may change my mind (because I’m fickle like that) and take them down, but continue the project merely on the hard drive of my computer. If anyone else feels brave enough to join me and ease the pain, please let me know! =}

PS: I sense it’s time for another Vlog soon…
(Tomorrow I have my annual. I’m sort of freaking out about it.)

You clearly were not informed that the more icing the gingerbread house has, the more superior it is. ;P We made gingerbread houses…it’s been a few years but my mother also was brilliant at it. Us kids mostly watched, hehe.

365 photos? Wowzers. I have no idea how to make one remotely interesting, lol.

I take multivitamins every day, and then add in an iron supplement a couple times a week. For those of us a bit anemic, the iron works wonders and makes you feel more energetic (making more blood is a good thing). Do you think the prenatal vitamins are better that regular womens’ multivitamins (besides having more folic acid)? If so, I will switch, but will have to pull off the label or something so Matt doesn’t get any ideas! :)

Ben, it’s up to you and your creativity- there are no rules except you need to have a photo of you (from a face to a shadow) every day. =}

Diana, thanks, though I’m sure when I see everyone elses as it gets closer to Christmas I’ll feel really silly about it.

Em, NO CAMERA?! This must be fixed.

Bronnie, definitely, but we had seven of us, and we didn’t make enough frosting for everyone. We know for next time though that the frosting needs to be more dry and there must be LOTS more of it. And about 365, I’m worried about that too. Not having enough creative juices to come up with a new pose every day.

Booga, I am incredibly anemic, so I’m hoping that it will help me a great deal by taking it. For me I chose the prenatal over the multi because it had less vitamin A and more iron and I liked having a healthy and high dose of iron daily rather than having to space it out when just using iron supplements, thus risking forgetting all together. I also have lots of Omega 3 (but that’s for my heart). Anyway, I’m going to the doctor today, and I planned on asking which was better- just the regular women specific multivitamin plus iron a few times a week or the prenatal. I’ll let you know what she says.

Ri, yeah well all my needs are addressed in ONE pill. HA. Aside from birth control. So TWO PILLS.

That’s insane! We totally, really need to fix this. That’s awesome that you look so good in all the pictures ever taken of you though.

Booga- I talked to my doctor about prenatal vs multi and she seemed to express that the prenatal was better for me in terms of iron + anemia. =)

I hope that helps!

I have always wanted to start taking prenatal vitamins. They are really good for your hair and your nails too! :)

We just got Wes one of those gingerbread house kits and are really excited about it. Of course I’ll take pictures to post whenever we do it! I love these houses you and your mom did!

I used to take self portraits all the time (mostly because I liked to experiment and have no willing models.. and when you are your own model you are more in control!) but I haven’t taken very many in quite some time. I’ve seen others doing the 365 Project and wondered if I should try it.. I’m afraid I would get boring really quickly. My new place is so small and cluttered, it’s hard to find places to take a good photo, let alone a different one everyday. But the challenge of that could make it fun, I suppose..

I was worried that I would get really bored too, but I’m really beginning to like it. At first I thought everything would have to be an amazing statement of some sort- but then I saw some people who are doing it for the second and third time! And I went back and looked through some of my old pictures from last year and I look totally different! I think it would be fascinating to snapshot that progression. =)
