Well, I’m totally over what happened yesterday.

Just for clarification, the locked entry was about the lunch that I had yesterday. Since Luke has stumbled across my blog once before, I felt it necessary to lock the entry. If you’d like to read it, definitely email or message me for the password and I’ll happily give it to you. (I mean that.) However, I feel I should clarify something that might have confused some people, especially on LiveJournal. Luke is totally not the same person as Tom (Mr. Seven-Year-Best-Friend-You-Know-Who-I-Mean). Tom would never in a thousand years ever, ever, act the way Luke did yesterday. So that’s a completely different situation and still “on”, for those of you that may have been wondering. (I feel like I’m speaking in code?)

Anyway, hopefully I’m done talking about ridiculous drama for a while and we can get back to our regular scheduled programming. I haven’t updated my Flickr in a long time, so I think I’m going to do that today. I wish it was summer already. This halfway in-between shit’s gotta go.

What should I cook today? Any favorite recipes you want to share?

I adore these new little images in the posts. As for what to cook, I think you should create a pasta bake because you haven’t done that in a while.

I don’t know Tom either but he sounds like a sweet mother fucker. He’s the friend who tends to get sick at the same time as you right?

And he’s the same as the pie-and-tea guy right?

Right again.

(What kind of pasta bake?)

Yeah, he gets my stamp of approval.

That IS a cute idea! :D I’m excited for you.

Umm, I highly recommend pumpkin ravioli because that’s my favourite dish but I don’t have the recipe yet. I’ll pass it on when Lisa and Jessie finish driving across Canada!

Ah! I definitely think you should try this recipe:

Spinach Spaghetti Pie! Mitch&I made it a little while ago. It’s a winning recipe from a Taste of Home cookbook! Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!!!!

I know you like dinosaurs and well I was just in Meijer and they have gummy dinosaurs! I have no idea if it’s a new thing but just thought I’d pass the word on. : )

I’ve just been making these sort-of-falafel burger things, i basically

- take whatever beans i have at the time - lentils work well, chickpeas (favabeans are what you’re supposed to use if it’s actually falafel)

- boil them til mushy and throw in super fine diced onion and garlic,

- pour away most of the excess water, chuck in any spices you have - just put in mixed herb - parsley would be ideal

- anything else that looks fun - I threw a bit of lemon juice in, some tomato puree and a bit of honey

- stirr round the pan (preferably non stick) until the mush sticks together coherantly and any extras you’ve thrown in are folded/mixed in

-scoop a bit of it into my hand and cup both hands arround it and shake (it’s too hot to roll) into balls, and then just drop them into a frying pan - (which i had greased with preservative oil for my cheese lol - but any oil will do)

- squish them onto the pan, and push them about, and turn them after a few minutes

# voila - jacob’s homebrew falafel - which isn’t really falafel……. vegie burger - ish, maybe - but ready to serve!

Last night i had it with chips which i’d boiled and covered in spicyness then fried. and a few days ago i made them and wrapped them in arabic flatbread with tomato and red pepper relish.

But I can’t do recipes, i end up just making stuff up. If i worked in a restaurant people would order a salad and end up with roast beef.

in regards to the rest of your entry i think : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wvgvhDLb1Q .
