So I get onto my computer today to find that everyone was wishing me a Happy St. Patrick’s Day yesterday and I am going, WTF. Saint Patrick’s Day is on the seventeenth people, just like it is every year! But then I discovered “it was changed to the fifteenth this year by the Roman Catholic Church to avoid conflict with Holy Monday, which falls on 3/17.”
Yeah, what the fuck?
But I guess Ireland celebrates March 13th through the 17th, and is still having the huge parade on the 17th, regardless of the Roman Catholic Church?
Either way, my roommates and I are still celebrating on the seventeenth. So Happy St. Paddy’s day, TOMORROW.

LOL. The bars in Toronto have stuck to the 17th too. We did yesterday simply because it was Saturday so people from out of town could join us. :) Had no idea about the 15th!
