Jei and I went to visit my grandparents over the weekend, and we had a fabulous time. It was really great to see Jei getting along well with my Grandfather, I was very pleased. We had spaghetti and salads and chatted a bit and caught up, and all that good stuff. We saw a turkey who apparently makes himself at home there along with six resident deer, a very wonderful scene indeed. And of course, I’ve always been fond of my grandmother’s weird sense of decor- especially these ceramic pumpkin heads she has in the dining room area. They’ve been there as long as I can remember. I don’t think my mother or father like them.

On another note, I’m stumped as to what to do for February. It’s kind of a crucial month for me; jam packed with anniversaries all over. Jei and I hit two years, the birth of my two year younger sister, the rascals and I started hanging out in February, and just a few bit more… I wanted to do a love theme, cheesy, yes- but it made sense. And then I was thinking I would mix it with Valentine’s Day. Scratched that idea right away. So now I’m thinking unless I can come up with some wonderful idea, I’m probably going to leave it this way, and just have a simple banner displaying on Jei and I’s anniversary.

One more thing- I do have my book started that I would like to send around to everyone when I’ve finished the first few pages, so send me your addresses so I can send you the book! (Or if you don’t want to do the book idea then I’ll send you a little something special!)

Take care, doves.

PS: I want to thank everyone who commented on that last post- but I want to assure that if I do have Syncope it’s nothing medicine can’t handle and I’m not depressed or sad about it at all, and I’m sorry if it came across that way. I am well and happy.

PPS: I discovered this amazing thing about Wordpress today, if you plug in the date and the time, and it hasn’t happened yet, and you hit “publish”, it won’t post it until that exact time on that day. (WEE!)

Oh wow. Those pumpkin heads are terrifying, haha!

It sounds like you had a very nice weekend, and much to look forward to! Do you mean what to do about the layout theme? I think I got lost somewhere but having only recently jumped into your journal it was bound to happen. ;)

Yeah, I change the layout theme every month, or at least I have since I started using wordpress. But I’m not sure what to do with February. ; )

Those pumpkin heads are really creepy. Then again, I think any figurine decor, when isolated and displayed in a photo essay, becomes sort of creepy. Faceless angels, screaming pumpkins, kittens hugging kittens, etc.

By the way, what is this book project? (I’m not requesting a copy. That seems like a thing for people you actually know!) A novel? Book design work? Poems? Etc. Just curious.

I wish I knew needlepoint. I’d like to use that homespun look for unusual phrases and dodgy advice.

ck: I believe the book project is a collaborative journal, and as such it would be fascinating to have a wide variety of people involved. So I feel confident enough to speak for Bonamy here and say Strangers Welcome!

Also those pumpkin heads are creepy even in context because they don’t match the decor. At all. At they’re at child-height, which is very scarring.

Darling Bonamy, my address is as follows:

Fam. Richter (and/or my name)
Eschenweg 18

(Deutschland/Germany)

How ’bout you send me the journal AND something special =D?

(By the by, it is now die schönes Schal. Eeeeveryone loves my scarf, and it is never referred to without the lovely adjective that elevates it above the other, lowly, pitiful, store-bought scarves.)

Kindigo is absolutely right! It’s collaborative journal and anyone can put whatever they want in it! And when we’re done we have a whole bunch of goodies that I can scan and we can share them with everyone. What I would LIKE to do, is find out who’s really interested, and I will start that many journals, that way all who are involved end up keeping one. I have a lot of ideas floating around about this- so the more the better. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas about this project fill me in. I think this will be loads of fun.

No worries if nothing arrives. I won’t expect it. But I’ll certainly still read this blog!! Why? Because it rocks. That’s why.
