I have the lens for Nikon (er, in those parameters) and if it helps it’s not like…huuuuge distances. :D

I know, money sucks sometimes when it’s not in our pockets. ;) I assumed you had a tripod though! *needs one*

As you may know, I am totally addicted to the goodwill and other thrift stores because I’m obsessed with antique and vintage things (and also books). So, I thought I would mention that these places have the tripods all the time for a couple of dollars. In fact, I just bought one that fits into my camera perfectly and is like new for something like $2. And I also got an awesome 70s hard vinyl camera bag the other day that looks unused. I use it in my car to keep various work stuff in, because its huge and the strap can be fitted around my passenger seat for easy access. I see “old school” camera equipment there all the time, too, if you’re ever interested in using older equipment for various effects in your photography. So, yeah, check out all the goodwills and thrift shops nearby! And if you can’t find anything, come to Charleston and I will feed you and you can find the bargains here! Or if I see another tripod that will work for a digital camera for such a low price, I can pick it up and mail it to you, or something!

P.S. — thank you for the adorable Christmas card!! :)

Bronwyn, I know, I should have gotten one by now but I’ve just been putting it off, though from the looks of it- I’m going to be hunting out Goodwill.

Ben, I’ll try, but I don’t like to shop for lenses on ebay, just a policy…

Nicole, I’m a thrift store freak too! Unfortunately, we really only have two or three good ones in our small town. My old roommate used to work there and he kept an eye out but never saw anything fly through. (Aside from a real 8mm film camera. OMG.)

Though I’ve been known to get lucky a few times.
